About The Position

The Sales Representative is a full-time, first-shift position with a regular Monday–Friday schedule, serving accounts in and around Youngstown and the surrounding area. The role builds customer relationships across convenience stores, supermarkets, drug stores, and independent grocery markets while promoting Perry’s Ice Cream products and merchandising inventory to increase sales. The representative works independently, driving a personal vehicle between accounts, and collaborates with internal and external customers to ensure strong execution. The role includes forecasting sales, placing accurate orders, managing account inventory, creating attractive displays, and using a handheld computer and completing paperwork. It also involves working in store freezers to stock shelves and organize back stock. Perry’s provides gloves, jackets, and uniforms to support safety in cold environments. The position offers feedback, education, and ongoing professional development. Pay is $40,000–$41,000 annually, with a mileage reimbursement program.

Requirements

Experience in retail or frozen-food sales, merchandising, and execution.
Familiarity with supermarket, convenience-store, and drug-store channels.
Ability to build strong relationships with customers and team members.
Physical ability to repeatedly lift and carry up to 30 pounds, bend and twist while merchandising, and push and pull a store dolly loaded with approximately 100–500 pounds of product.
Ability to work in a cold environment, including a walk-in freezer at -10°F to -20°F.
Basic computer skills, including email and use of a handheld scanner.
Accountability in exercising safe behavior.
Flexibility to work an irregular schedule.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Passion for customer service and representing yourself and Perry’s with high quality.
High integrity and commitment to teamwork.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record, a reliable vehicle, and proof of insurance in accordance with the auto reimbursement policy.

Responsibilities
