About The Position

Goodwill Industries--Knoxville, Inc. is seeking a part-time Sales/Production Associate for its retail store in Oak Ridge. The role performs customer service, sales, cashiering, stocking, sorting, inventory management, sizing, color coordination, and cleaning activities. The position pays $10 per hour. Part-time positions can have flexible hours, and employees receive a 20% store discount. Candidates should be energetic and flexible, have excellent customer service skills, and be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen. The role requires a flexible schedule that includes nights and weekends. Requirements

Excellent customer service skills.
Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Consistent punctuality and attendance.
Ability to stand and/or walk for long periods; handle items; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

Greet donors, accept and unload donated materials, and thank donors.
Sort, separate, and hang clothing and household items; sort, test, clean, and mark small appliances, housewares, shoes, seasonal items, and other merchandise.
Conduct sales transactions and handle cash and credit card transactions according to procedures for voids, discounts, refunds, checks, and credit card payments.
Clean floors, shelves, windows, break room, store fixtures, fitting rooms, dock area, store exterior, merchandise counters, and other areas; report issues requiring maintenance repairs.
Assist customers, price merchandise, assist in fitting rooms, offer recycling bags, explain store operations, and use sales techniques that may enhance store sales and community image.
Work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
