About The Position

Goodwill Industries—Knoxville, Inc. is hiring a full-time, regular, non-exempt Sales/Production Associate for its retail store at Chapman Hwy. The role covers customer service, sales, cashiering, stocking, sorting, inventory management, sizing, color coordination, and cleaning. Candidates should be energetic and flexible, have excellent customer service skills, and be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen. The position requires a flexible schedule that includes nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

Greet donors, accept and unload donated materials, and thank donors for their contributions.
Sort, separate, and hang clothing and household items; sort, test, clean, and mark small appliances, housewares, shoes, seasonal items, and other merchandise.
Conduct sales transactions and handle cash and credit card transactions according to procedures for voids, discounts, refunds, checks, and card payments.
Clean floors, shelves, windows, the break room, store fixtures, fitting rooms, the dock area, the store exterior, merchandise counters, and other areas; report maintenance issues.
Provide customer assistance, price merchandise, assist in fitting rooms, offer recycling bags, explain store operations, and use sales techniques that may enhance store sales and community image.
Work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
