About The Position

The Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center is seeking a Sales and Production Associate to perform a wide variety of duties in a production store and production area. The associate helps maintain an orderly, pleasant, and hospitable work environment and sustain customer relationships. The position also supports the Adult Rehabilitation Centers’ work therapy program by providing beneficiaries with an example of professional conduct and work habits. The centers fund rehabilitation services through the collection and resale of gently used goods.

Requirements

• Ability to speak and understand English for effective communication with supervisors, employees, beneficiaries, and customers.
• Good customer service skills.
• Ability to understand and follow directions.

Responsibilities

• Help create a pleasant and hospitable work environment and maintain good customer relationships.
• Assist with store operations as required.
• Serve customers courteously and efficiently.
• Handle donations with care and treat donors with respect and courtesy.
• Handle merchandise as directed, maintaining proper categories and colorization.
• Keep the store sufficiently stocked and “ragged out” in accordance with the “ARC COMMAND RAG OUT CALENDAR.”
• Assist with cleaning and general maintenance of store property.
• Immediately report theft, customer complaints, injuries, and unsafe equipment or conditions to management.
• Maintain a clean, clutter-free work area.
• Learn and comply with store policies as communicated.
• Support the work therapy program by modeling professional conduct and work habits for beneficiaries.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor, Store Supervisor, and/or Administrator.
