About The Position

Goodwill Industries--Knoxville, Inc. is seeking a full-time Sales/Production Associate for its retail store in Clinton. The role involves customer service, sales, cashiering, stocking, sorting, inventory management, sizing, color coordination, and cleaning activities. The position is regular, non-exempt, and pays $10 per hour. Candidates should be energetic, flexible, have excellent customer service skills, and be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen. A flexible schedule, including nights and weekends, is required.

Responsibilities

• Greet donors, accept and unload donated materials, and thank donors for their contributions.
• Sort, separate, and hang clothing and household items; sort, test, clean, and mark small appliances, housewares, shoes, seasonal items, and other merchandise.
• Conduct sales transactions and manage cash and credit card transactions according to procedures for voids, discounts, refunds, checks, and card payments.
• Clean floors, shelves, windows, the break room, store fixtures, fitting rooms, the dock area, the store exterior, merchandise counters, and other areas; report maintenance issues.
• Assist customers, price merchandise, support fitting room operations, offer recycling bags, explain store operations, and use sales techniques that may enhance sales and the store’s community image.
• Work a flexible schedule that includes nights and weekends.
