About The Position

The Sales Outfitter performs selling and customer service activities, including greeting and acknowledging customers promptly and in a friendly manner, handling merchandise with care, and providing customers with information, assistance, and direction. The role supports a pleasant and productive shopping experience by demonstrating products, maintaining product knowledge, replenishing merchandise, and helping customers make informed buying decisions. The position works under general supervision and uses established procedures, with occasional independent judgment to complete assignments and make recommendations about work procedures, policies, and practices.

Requirements

• High school education or equivalent experience.
• Ability to calculate figures such as discounts and make change for customers.
• Ability to communicate in a friendly and professional manner with customers and associates.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with management, coworkers, and customers.
• Ability to operate a computerized Point of Sale register system.
• Ability to stand and/or walk constantly during the shift.
• Ability to move objects up to 20 pounds constantly and, occasionally, lift or move objects up to 100 pounds or more using a team lift as needed.

Responsibilities

• Support a strong commitment to world-class customer service and help ensure a pleasant, productive shopping experience for customers.
• Greet and acknowledge customers promptly and in a friendly manner; provide information, assistance, and direction.
• Demonstrate products to customers and maintain product expertise through ongoing training.
• Identify and evaluate customer needs, recommend products based on that analysis, and promote programs including CLUB Membership, VOC, and In-Store Pick-up.
• Replenish and restock merchandise in accordance with merchandising guidelines.
• Remain knowledgeable about advertised sales and maintain pricing and signage.
• Assist with seasonal floor merchandise moves.
• Keep the work area clean, neat, and well stocked with supplies.
• Follow all company policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
