About The Position

The Sales Outfitter performs selling and customer service activities, including greeting and acknowledging customers promptly and in a friendly manner, handling merchandise with care, and providing customers with information, assistance, and direction. The role supports a pleasant and productive shopping experience by demonstrating products, maintaining product knowledge, replenishing and restocking merchandise, and keeping the work area clean and supplied. The Sales Outfitter helps customers make buying decisions by assessing their needs and recommending products, and promotes programs such as CLUB Membership, VOC, and In-Store Pick-up. The role operates under general supervision and established procedures, with occasional independent judgment to complete assignments and make recommendations about work procedures, policies, and practices.

Requirements

• High school education or equivalent experience.
• Ability to calculate figures such as discounts and make change.
• Ability to communicate in a friendly and professional manner with customers and associates.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with management, coworkers, and customers.
• Ability to operate a computerized Point of Sale register system.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, prompt customer service and contribute to a pleasant shopping experience.
• Demonstrate products to customers and provide information, assistance, and direction.
• Maintain product expertise through ongoing product knowledge training.
• Replenish and restock merchandise according to merchandising guidelines.
• Maintain knowledge of advertised sales and keep pricing and signage current.
• Assist with seasonal floor merchandise moves.
• Keep the work area clean, neat, and stocked with supplies.
• Follow company policies and procedures.
• Assess customers’ needs and recommend products to help them make buying decisions.
• Promote programs including CLUB Membership, VOC, and In-Store Pick-up.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
