About The Position

The Fishing Sales Outfitter performs selling and customer service activities, including greeting customers promptly and in a friendly manner, handling merchandise carefully, and providing information, assistance, and direction. The role supports a pleasant and productive shopping experience by demonstrating products, maintaining product knowledge, replenishing and restocking merchandise, and keeping the work area clean and supplied. The outfitter assists customers with buying decisions by identifying their needs and recommending products, and promotes programs such as CLUB Membership, VOC, and In-Store Pick-up. The position works under general supervision using established procedures, with occasional independent judgment and recommendations for work procedures, policies, and practices. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

• High school education or equivalent experience.
• Ability to calculate figures such as discounts and make change for customers.
• Ability to communicate in a friendly and professional manner with customers and associates.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with management, coworkers, and customers.
• Ability to operate a computerized Point of Sale register system.
• Ability to stand and/or walk constantly during the shift and meet the listed physical requirements, including moving objects up to 20 pounds constantly and occasionally lifting or moving objects up to 100 pounds or more with team assistance as needed.

Responsibilities

• Greet and acknowledge customers promptly and in a friendly manner; provide information, assistance, and direction.
• Support a pleasant and productive shopping experience and provide a legendary experience for each customer.
• Demonstrate products to customers and maintain product expertise through ongoing training.
• Identify and evaluate customers' needs and recommend products based on that analysis.
• Promote programs including CLUB Membership, VOC, and In-Store Pick-up.
• Replenish and restock merchandise, maintain pricing and signing, and assist with seasonal floor merchandise moves.
• Keep the work area clean, neat, and well stocked with supplies.
• Follow all Company Policies and Procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
