About The Position

Franz Family Bakery is seeking a Sales Merchandiser for its team based in Spokane Valley. The role maintains bakery products in assigned stores so customers have fresh, well-presented products on shelves. The Sales Merchandiser also drives a company vehicle to deliver products and loads and unloads bakery products. This is a full-time union position with Teamsters Local 690. The schedule is to be discussed at interview; employees must be available to work between 5 a.m. and 7 p.m. on weekdays and weekends.

Requirements

• At least one year of experience in a similar merchandising position.
• Solid work history and a proven record of reliability, safety, and a positive attitude.
• Availability to work between 5 a.m. and 7 p.m. on weekdays and weekends; schedule to be discussed at interview.
• Ability to bend, stoop, squat, kneel, reach, and perform frequent to constant handling activities.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds regularly and maneuver large, bulky racks of product.
• Highly organized and able to work at a fast pace and communicate effectively with people inside and outside the organization.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment background check, drug screen, math test, physical, and physical capacity test.
• Clean driving record; must provide a current driving abstract from the department of licensing if called for an interview.

Responsibilities

• Maintain bakery products in assigned stores.
• Stock shelves, rotate outdated products to ensure freshness, face products for attractive presentation, and keep assigned bakery products neat and orderly.
• Drive a company vehicle to deliver products to customer locations.
• Load and unload products in the company-issued vehicle, including pushing and pulling racks and trays of bakery products.
• Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
