About The Position
Guitar Center is hiring a Sales Manager to lead a retail sales team, drive revenue, and deliver positive customer experiences in a fast-paced, high-energy music retail environment. The manager sets a customer-focused tone, motivates the team to meet and exceed sales targets, and draws on a passion for music and product knowledge to support customers and employees. The role includes training and developing staff in sales techniques and product knowledge; recruiting and building a high-performing sales team; fostering a customer-first culture; and overseeing inventory, labor, and schedules to support smooth store operations. The posted pay rate is $22.09–$33.13 per hour, depending on background and experience. The position is eligible to participate in Guitar Center’s company bonus program based on company performance.
Requirements
- Passion for music and experience as a musician.
- Experience leading a sales team.
- Understanding of P&L statements and labor management.
- Strong communication skills.
- Organizational skills and attention to detail.
