About The Position

Guitar Center is seeking a Retail Sales Manager to lead a sales team, drive revenue, and create positive customer experiences. The role calls for a passionate musician and experienced sales leader who can create an upbeat, customer-focused environment, motivate employees to exceed sales targets, and address complex customer and operational challenges. The Sales Manager trains and develops staff in sales techniques and product knowledge, recruits and builds a high-performing team, and manages inventory, labor, and schedules. The position is eligible for the Guitar Center Company bonus program based on Company performance. The stated pay rate is $22.09–$33.13 per hour, depending on background and experience; actual compensation may vary based on experience, education, location, and other factors. Eligible musician employees may use gig leave to take time off for a tour and return to their job afterward.

Requirements

Passion for music and experience as a musician.
Experience leading a sales team and the ability to inspire others.
Understanding of P&L statements and labor management.
Strong communication skills.
