About The Position

Deftpower is hiring a Sales Manager to bring charging brands in Germany, Austria and Switzerland onto its EV-charging platform. The Sales & Business Development team brings new brands onto the platform across Europe and is based in Berlin and Arnhem. The team includes five sales managers and is supported by three marketers. The Berlin team is small and operates like a start-up within a scale-up. The role works most closely with Lucas, Head of Sales, as well as onboarding and account managers. The Sales Manager owns the DACH sales cycle from the first lead through to a signed contract, deciding which leads to pursue and how to shape each deal. The role involves finding and qualifying leads, preparing tailored proposals and tender responses, building business cases, negotiating pricing, terms and scope, and handing new clients over to onboarding while remaining involved until they go live. Within six months, the expectation described is to be close to the first deal and to have built a strong, well-known network in DACH. The position is based in Berlin, with three office days per week and a 40-hour work week. Deftpower describes a high-trust environment with access to contracts, roadmaps and numbers, autonomy in decision-making, frequent feedback, and AI use across teams. The company also holds a quarterly company day called D-Day. The work environment is changing and not everything is fully established. The hiring process includes a meeting with Lucas, a case of about one hour, a team meeting, a third interview, an offer, and a short personality test used as a conversation starter.
