About The Position

The Sales Lead is a role-model Bear Builder with additional responsibility for serving as Floor Leader on Duty during designated shifts. In that role, the Sales Lead directs and supports associates, models Experience First® behaviors, and focuses on achieving store sales goals. When not assigned as Floor Leader on Duty, the Sales Lead performs Bear Builder duties, providing exceptional Guest service and supporting smooth store operations.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Availability to work 15–25 hours per week.
Ability to work a flexible retail schedule, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Ability to sit, stand, and move around for the duration of a shift.
Ability to lift more than 25 pounds.
Ability to connect with and inspire others, interact with new people, and maintain a helpful attitude.
Desire to develop, train, and support others’ success.
Good judgment in ambiguous situations, initiative, and self-direction.
Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment and remain calm in challenging circumstances.

Nice To Haves

Build-A-Bear store associate experience.
Associate’s degree or higher in business, management, or a related field.

Responsibilities

As Floor Leader on Duty, serve as a role model in providing exceptional Guest service and memorable experiences.
Guide, support, and direct associates to ensure smooth store operations and achievement of sales goals.
Model Experience First behaviors.
Provide the management team with feedback about performance and compliance issues for the CWM and AWM to address.
As a Bear Builder, actively engage with Guests using Experience First Make Behaviors.
Create a warm and inclusive atmosphere, foster positive interactions, and help ensure each Guest is satisfied with their experience.
Meet brand standards and guidelines to uphold operational excellence and provide a seamless Guest experience.
Be dependable, engaged, and helpful as a committed team member.
Support store financial goals and compliance with company policies, procedures, and standards.
Demonstrate sound decision-making, judgment, execution, and consistent operational standards.
