About The Position

The Part Time Sales Lead is an entry-level leadership role responsible for opening and closing the store, supporting sales performance, delivering exceptional customer experiences, and executing day-to-day store operations. The Sales Lead supports the Store Manager by following customer engagement strategies and maintaining merchandising standards that contribute to a positive customer experience. The role may act as Manager on Duty when other leadership team members are absent and helps onboard and train new team members.

Requirements

Must be 18 years of age or older.
Retail or customer-facing experience is preferred but not required.
Must be available at least 30 hours per week, including one weekend day and rotating holidays; additional availability is a plus.
Ability to communicate clearly and respectfully with customers and team members.
Ability to operate office equipment and technology, including cash registers, computers, phones, and scanners.
Ability to stand and move throughout the store during scheduled shifts, walk to assist customers and retrieve merchandise, and recover the store.
Ability to maneuver and/or lift 25 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally, and to push or pull full racks of merchandise.
Ability to reach, stretch, bend, stoop, and crouch to retrieve items, restock, and maintain store cleanliness.
Ability to perform occasional manual labor to assemble displays or rearrange the store layout.
Vision to read labels accurately, assist customers, and perform detail-oriented tasks.
Ability to use fine manipulation and grasp items to sort and organize clothing, place items on hangers, fold, and organize merchandise by color and size.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service that meets company retail standards and supports an in-store experience aligned with company expectations.
Initiate conversations with customers, learn their interests, assist them in fitting rooms, and recommend products suited to their needs and preferences.
Promote the rewards program, meet weekly loyalty sign-up goals, and contribute to personal sales targets and overall store performance.
Learn about new products and trends and provide information and advice about product performance, features, and specifications.
Maintain visual merchandising standards and keep the sales floor clean, organized, and well-stocked.
Support daily store operations, including opening and closing, freight processing, transaction processing, cash handling, and point-of-sale integrity.
Follow company and store policies, procedures, and operational guidelines, and communicate concerns to store leadership.
Assign tasks to team members as directed to support operational needs.
Respond quickly to customer or employee injuries and report them immediately to the Manager on Duty.
Participate in Loss Prevention Audits and follow loss prevention policies to minimize store shrink.
Act as Manager on Duty when other members of the leadership team are absent.
Communicate employee concerns directly to the Store Manager.
Assist with onboarding and training new team members in sales behaviors, customer service expectations, and store procedures.
Address customer concerns professionally and in accordance with company guidelines.
Arrive on time for scheduled shifts and work a flexible schedule to meet business needs.
