About The Position

CMS Controls Atlanta is hiring a Sales Engineer to develop and win building automation systems (BAS) work across Georgia. The role owns opportunities from the first customer conversation through contract award and delivery-team turnover. The Sales Engineer conducts site walks, performs controls takeoffs and estimates, develops practical solutions, prepares and presents proposals, and negotiates technical and commercial terms. They must understand commercial HVAC systems and building automation controls well enough to define a sound solution, price it appropriately, and clearly document its scope, exclusions, assumptions, and risks. This position reports to the General Manager and works in a hybrid arrangement, with moderate travel throughout Georgia; overnight travel is not expected. CMS Controls Atlanta designs, installs, and services building automation and HVAC controls for commercial facilities across Georgia. The company is developing a new quoting and pipeline system, a new job and labor system, and written work standards as it grows. The role suits someone who is comfortable helping build these systems and processes while working with building owners, facility teams, mechanical and general contractors, and consulting engineers. Success in the first year means building a steady flow of qualified opportunities, producing accurate and timely estimates and proposals, maintaining a reliable forecast, and turning awarded work over to the delivery team with the scope, assumptions, and commitments clearly documented. The company values Accountability, Drive, Humility, Integrity, and People Focused conduct.
