About the position
We are seeking an experienced Pre-Sales Solutions Engineer to join our Go To Market team at Unit21. As a company that specializes in combating money laundering and fraud in the Fintech industry, we offer a unique and flexible platform. We are looking for someone who can educate our customers and showcase the full capabilities of our solution. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in solutions engineering, a passion for problem-solving, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities
- Work in collaboration with Sales to lead discovery to identify technical requirements & pain points
- Architect and demonstrate our product solutions that showcase qualitative and quantitative business value
- Support successful technical execution of POCs including data ingestion, and configuration of the application
- Serve as product expert with deep understanding of our use cases for AML + Fraud
- Act as the primary customer-facing technical resource during the pre-sales process
- Collaborate and maintain a close working relationship with cross-functional teams in order to communicate customer needs and product feedback to Unit21’s product management, engineering, and marketing teams
Requirements
- 3-5 years of experience in a solutions engineering role with a record of top performance in B2B SAAS
- Passion for problem solving
- Strong commitment to closing sales deals
- Direct experience working in relational databases and APIs
- Development experience in modern programming languages (Python, Javascript)
- Strong project management and communication skills both externally and internally
- Experience working successfully within an early stage startup environment
- Bachelor's degree in software engineering or equivalent (bonus point)
- Strong desire to learn and contribute cross functionally (bonus point)
- Existing relationships within the Financial Industry (bonus point)
- Experience in Anti Money Laundering and/or Fraud Prevention (bonus point)
