About The Position

AKASA is seeking a full-time, US-based Sales Director to join their team. This role reports to the VP, Sales. The Sales Director will be responsible for prospecting, building, and closing a pipeline of new business by partnering with health system executives and aligning their needs with AKASA's revenue cycle management platform solutions. AKASA is a leading provider of generative AI solutions for the healthcare revenue cycle, aiming to help health systems streamline operations and improve patient care. The company has experienced significant growth and received numerous recognitions, including being named a "Great Place to Work" for six consecutive years.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5+ years consultative, enterprise sales experience
  • Proven track record selling to executive-level healthcare providers such as hospitals and health systems
  • Ability to recognize the needs of the customer and develop solutions that exceeds expectations
  • Dynamic and engaging presentation skills; ability to break down complex or abstract ideas into simpler concepts
  • Excellent writing, critical thinking, and negotiation skills
  • Ability to travel domestically up to 60%

Nice To Haves

  • Deep experience in health system revenue cycle, specifically mid-cycle (coding, clinical documentation improvement) sales, consulting, or delivery

Responsibilities

  • Build relationships with C-Level health system executives to discuss their strategic and operational challenges, and present best practice solutions
  • Drive business development and sales strategy to achieve sales targets
  • Conduct consultative onsite and virtual presentations to educate prospective clients on industry best practices and AKASA products
  • Work closely with BDR team to prospect new sales opportunities
  • Lead entire sales cycle from initial opportunity creation to finalizing opportunity outcome (including prospecting, driving the discovery process, developing and presenting proposed solutions, navigating procurement and legal processes, and closing the deal)
  • Provide insights from prospecting visits to inform future research initiatives and new product development inquiries
  • Engage with prospective and existing customers at trade shows and industry events
  • Collaborate closely with product, marketing, finance and legal teams to drive sales outcomes and support accurate forecasting
