About The Position

We are scaling from €80 million to €500 million+. This doesn't happen with administrators – it happens with doers. You will take overall responsibility for our Performance Marketing: 5 teams, real P&L ownership, and the mandate to make this area the growth engine. You don't wait for instructions. You analyze, decide, execute – and correct quickly. You will build and lead 5 high-performance teams: Meta, SEA, CRM, Marketplace, and Onsite – disciplinarily and technically. You will establish a culture of excellence: You challenge and support your team through targeted coaching and clear expectations, so that everyone grows beyond themselves. You will have P&L responsibility for our Other Own Brand Shops (Primum, Müllers Naturhof, petsPremium) and the marketplace business – not just budget management, but the freedom to invest capital where it brings maximum ROI. You will manage over €8 million in ad spend and scale it to over €30 million with clear CLV/CAC ratios, identifying growth levers. You will be responsible for the performance channels of our focus brands: Wolfsblut, Wildes Land, and Arden Grange, and you know how to transform brands within their CI into growth cases and operationalize them. You understand that Performance Marketing in 2026 is not just media buying – you will also drive the creative engine: data feedback to creation, testing roadmaps for creatives, and you know that the best media buy is useless without the right creative. You will have technical and strategic ownership for the entire Online Sales & Performance Marketing area. You scale results, not just headcount: You identify and implement AI tools and automations to eliminate manual processes and double the speed of your teams. You ensure that we are always technologically one step ahead – from bidding algorithms to AI-supported content creation. You use our matrix organization not as an coordination marathon, but as a resource pool: You mobilize Brand, Tech, and Product for your growth goals, and you are a sparring partner at eye level with our Brand Directors – we win together as a team, each with their clear role.

Requirements

  • Several years of leadership experience in Performance Marketing with measurable results – proven scaling, not theory.
  • Make quick decisions with microlearnings, work hypothesis-driven, and always question further – speed beats perfection.
  • See AI not as a toy, but as a decisive competitive advantage (force multiplier). Experience in using tech solutions for operational excellence.
  • Address problems when they arise – not when they escalate. Do not shy away from uncomfortable conversations, but always remain constructive.
  • Numbers are your language. Smell anomalies in dashboards before others see them.
  • Proven ability to not just survive in complex organizations, but to leverage them for your goals.
  • Understand the connection between creative and performance – and can control both.
  • Win discussions with arguments and data, not with politics.
