Sales Development Representative (SDR)

Natter•New York, NY
•$75,000 - $115,000•Onsite

About The Position

Natter is hiring Sales Development Representatives to form its first SDR team. The role focuses on introducing Natter’s AI voice platform for enterprise employee listening to senior HR, People, Sales, and Revenue leaders at companies with 2,000 or more employees, primarily in the US, with some prospects in the UK and Europe. The platform uses AI and real-time video conversations to help organizations understand why things are happening, rather than simply what is happening. This is a purely outbound, phone-first role: cold calling accounts for about 90% of the work, with LinkedIn and email supporting the calls. Inbound leads are minimal, so SDRs are responsible for building the pipeline. The position involves 12 to 18 months of repetitive outbound work in an office, with coaching and enterprise-sales exposure from experienced sales leaders. The role is intended to offer a path toward a closing position. As a member of the founding sales team, the SDR can also help develop the playbook for future SDRs. The role is based in New York City and requires working in the office four days a week. Candidates must already be authorized to work in the US; visa sponsorship is not available. Base salary is $75,000 to $85,000, with on-target earnings of $105,000 to $115,000, including $30,000 variable compensation at 100% of target.

Requirements

  • 0 to 18 months of experience in B2B outbound sales; recruitment backgrounds and adjacent experience are also welcome.
  • A genuine appetite for cold calling, or confidence that it will be enjoyable.
  • Ability to sound credible to senior buyers and present to a room of executives.
  • Quick thinking and the ability to handle unexpected objections while keeping a conversation going.
  • Resilience and the ability to maintain energy after repeated rejection.
  • Drive, ambition, and willingness to work hard to build a career.
  • A bias to action and willingness to try a different approach when something is not working.
  • Ability to take coaching and apply it on the next call.
  • Preference for working in an office alongside the team.
  • Must already be authorized to work in the US; visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice To Haves

  • Exceptional recent graduates with no sales experience are encouraged to apply.
  • Evidence of drive outside work, such as competitive sport, running a society, or working through college.

Responsibilities

  • Cold call VPs and C-suite leaders at large enterprises every day.
  • Research accounts and identify the right people to contact.
  • Handle objections in the moment and explain a nuanced product in plain language.
  • Book qualified meetings for Account Executives.
  • Write LinkedIn and email outreach to support calls.
  • Share call insights to help refine the target customer profile, messaging, and scripts.
  • Work toward a quarterly pipeline target.
