About The Position

The Sales Development Representative will run phone-first, multichannel outbound prospecting into UK B2B organisations from South Africa. The role focuses on booking Qualified Held Meetings (QHMs) with security decision-makers, including CISOs, IT Security Managers, and cybersecurity team leads, to build the commercial sales pipeline. This is a front-line role in a fast-moving SaaS scaleup, offering autonomy and the opportunity to help shape its in-house UK outbound function. The role involves researching and personalising outreach, qualifying prospects, documenting meeting briefs for Account Executives, maintaining accurate CRM records, and ensuring compliant outreach. The representative will also share market feedback with Sales and Marketing. Success expectations include securing a first QHM within 30 days of launch and reaching 10 QHMs per full production month once ramped. By day 90, the representative is expected to have mastered the product proposition, deliver an unscripted conversational opener, consistently meet the monthly QHM target, maintain actionable HubSpot records, and operate with zero compliance incidents. Salary is up to £1,500 per month plus a performance bonus. Working hours follow UK business hours, with UK public holidays.

Requirements

  • At least 24 months of hands-on outbound prospecting experience in B2B SaaS.
  • High confidence on the phone, including the ability to engage prospects quickly, earn conversational permission, and navigate gatekeepers and dismissals.
  • Ability to engage technical security leaders credibly without presenting as a deep technical engineer.
  • Hands-on experience with parallel diallers such as Orum or Nooks and sales engagement workflows.
  • Strong CRM process discipline; HubSpot is preferred.
  • Exceptional written and spoken English suitable for unsupervised, executive-level correspondence.
  • Ability to work independently and consistently hit KPIs during UK business hours from a home office.
  • Experience testing, documenting, and refining outbound messaging, cadences, and qualification workflows.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in cybersecurity, a technology startup, or a scaleup.
  • Direct experience selling into or alongside MSPs, MSSPs, brokers, or channel resellers.
  • Experience as an early or founding SDR with limited operational scaffolding.
  • Experience targeting UK enterprise or mid-market organisations from an offshore seat.
  • Hands-on familiarity with LinkedIn Sales Navigator.

  • Drive daily phone-first, multichannel outreach by phone, email, and LinkedIn to target UK B2B organisations.
  • Secure Qualified Held Meetings (QHMs) with security decision-makers and document relevant exploration criteria.
  • Secure the first QHM within 30 days of launch and scale to 10 QHMs per full production month once ramped, while meeting agreed weekly activity benchmarks.
  • Research decision-makers and their existing technology stacks to personalise outreach.
  • Qualify prospects using lightweight BANT and MEDDPICC frameworks; investigate gaps across phishing, vishing, smishing, and quishing, and assess security awareness maturity.
  • Identify renewal dates and use the contract buy-back program to turn contract objections into opportunities.
  • Verify MSP, MSSP, broker, and reseller networks and customer databases before outreach to prevent channel conflict.
  • Provide Account Executives with fully documented meeting briefs within 24 hours of booking.
  • Maintain accurate data in HubSpot CRM and use parallel diallers and sales engagement platforms to maximise live conversation time.
  • Comply with UK GDPR, PECR, TPS/CTPS screening, and prompt opt-out suppression logging requirements.
  • Share recurring objections, competitor insights, and market intelligence with Sales and Marketing to refine go-to-market messaging.
