About the position
The Sales Development Representative (SDR) will research, prospect through calls and emails, and qualify leads to build pipeline for Field Reps and the Customer Success Team. They will respond to inbound inquiries, conduct proactive cold outreach to potential new customers, and provide online product demonstrations that draw prospects into initial discovery calls. As the initial point of contact with prospects, the SDR will represent the future of education and help drive future product enhancements. The ideal candidate has 1+ year of lead generation or inside sales experience, is an excellent communicator, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. The base compensation range for this role is $60,000 + OTE.
Responsibilities
- Research, prospect through calls and emails, and qualify leads to build pipeline for Field Reps and Customer Success Team
- Respond to inbound inquiries and proactively reach out to potential new customers
- Provide online product demonstrations that draw prospects into initial discovery calls and identify key needs that ultimately lead to qualified opportunities for Sales team
- Collaborate within the Sales organization to inform strategy and process that enhances sales performance
- Represent the future of education, enhancing how districts and teachers engage students, and helping provide approaches that allow educators to design customized learning for different levels of reader
- Provide feedback from the market to drive future product enhancements
- Manage a pipeline to meet and exceed team goals using Salesforce.com experience and sales process training
- Establish clear value propositions that connect buyer/user needs to the product and services offered
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment and use creativity when partnering with team members to ensure flawless execution
Requirements
- 1+ year of lead generation or inside sales experience
- Pipeline generation experience includes engaging prospects through email and phone conversations that lead to qualified meetings
- Familiarity with sales platforms such as Salesloft, Outreach.io, or Yesware
- Excellent communication skills and ability to empathize with different buyers' challenges
- Ability to establish clear value propositions that connect buyer/user needs to the product and services offered
- Thrives in a fast-paced environment and uses creativity when partnering with team members to ensure flawless execution
