About The Position

Closets by Design of the First Coast provides custom home organizing solutions, including closets, garages, and home offices. The Sales Design Consultant conducts in-home consultations, develops functional design solutions, and guides clients through the sales process from the initial meeting through closing.

The role is client-facing and is primarily conducted in customers’ homes, with occasional showroom interaction. All leads are company-provided. New hires participate in a structured training program and receive ongoing support from Sales Leadership. The service area spans Northeast Florida and surrounding regions, with travel required according to appointment locations. Designers are generally assigned within their local area when possible.

The schedule is flexible and full-time, based on appointment availability, with minimum monthly availability requirements that include some Saturdays. Workload and earnings may increase based on availability. Flexible work-from-home options are available.

Requirements

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Comfort working in a client-facing, in-home environment.
• Self-motivation and the ability to manage time independently.
• Ability to receive coaching and follow a structured sales process.
• Reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, and auto insurance.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-home consultations using company-provided appointments.
• Assess client spaces and recommend design solutions based on client needs.
• Present products and guide clients through the design and decision process.

• Complete and submit accurate order documentation.
• Partner with Sales Leadership and the support team to move projects forward.
• Maintain communication on active and pending opportunities.
