About The Position
Join the Dunkin' team as a morning/day-shift sales crew member, welcoming customers and helping them start their day with positive, efficient service. The role involves handling transactions, answering menu questions, taking and processing orders, and preparing basic coffee and beverage orders. Crew members help maintain a clean and welcoming counter and dining area and work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. The position prioritizes guest satisfaction, prompt problem-solving, and adherence to Dunkin' standards and operating policies, including those for cash handling, cleanliness, food safety, and workplace safety. Team members also communicate promotions and suggest menu items. No previous experience is required; the employer offers full-time and part-time opportunities. The restaurant is independently owned and operated by a Dunkin' franchisee, which is the employer and sets its own wages and benefit programs.
Requirements
- Fluent in English with effective communication skills.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions.
- Able to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- At least 18 years old.
- Comfortable standing for extended periods and able to lift up to 25 pounds.
- Able to use basic computer functions and a POS system.
- Must pass a drug test and criminal background check.
- No previous experience required; willingness to learn and grow.
Responsibilities
- Welcome customers and create a positive first impression.
- Operate the cash register and handle transactions quickly and accurately.
- Learn the menu and help customers with selections and questions.
- Take and process orders quickly and accurately.
- Prepare basic coffee and beverage orders.
- Keep the front counter and dining area clean and welcoming.
- Work cooperatively with the team and be receptive to feedback and guidance.
- Arrive on time and ready to work each shift.
- Prioritize guest satisfaction and resolve customer needs or issues promptly and positively.
- Follow Dunkin' standards and systems to provide quality service and products.
- Communicate promotions and suggest menu items to guests.
- Follow operational policies for cash handling, cleanliness, food safety, and workplace safety.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
