About The Position
The Sales Associate supports the store’s day-to-day operations through customer engagement, maintaining store functionality, and upholding merchandising standards. The role focuses on creating a warm and inviting shopping atmosphere through authentic, compelling interactions. Sales Associates prioritize customer needs and promote loyalty to the Lee and Wrangler brands and the store. The position includes customer service, fitting-room assistance, product recommendations, following operational and safety procedures, responding to and reporting injuries, and following visual merchandising directions. Associates contribute to a respectful, creative, and learning-oriented store culture and look for ways to make the store more sustainable.
Requirements
- Maintain a positive attitude and focus on customer satisfaction.
- Ability to work with a team to exceed sales results.
- Comfort approaching customers and initiating conversations.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet business needs, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
- Ability to operate office equipment and technology such as cash registers, computers, phones, and scanners.
- Ability to stand for up to eight hours during scheduled shifts.
- Ability to lift or maneuver up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
- Ability to reach, stretch, bend, stoop, crouch, push, pull, and perform manual tasks as needed.
- Vision sufficient to read labels, assist customers, and perform detail-oriented tasks.
- Fine manipulation and grasping ability to sort and organize clothing.

- Previous retail or service-oriented experience is preferred, but not required.
Responsibilities
- Wear and promote Lee and Wrangler products, and demonstrate passion for the brands.
- Greet customers and engage them on the sales floor with open-ended questions.
- Assist customers in fitting rooms and recommend products that meet their needs.
- Follow company and store policies, processes, and procedures.
- Respond quickly to customer or associate injuries and report them immediately to the manager on duty.
- Follow visual merchandising standards and directions.
- Respect others’ backgrounds, experiences, and differences while upholding Kontoor Brands’ values.
- Encourage participation, creativity, and learning by sharing best practices and ideas.
- Look for ways to make the store more sustainable and recognize its environmental impact.
- Embrace the store culture and make changes as directed by management.
- Operate office equipment and technology, including cash registers, computers, phones, and scanners.
- Assist customers, retrieve merchandise, recover the store, restock merchandise, and maintain cleanliness.
- Push and pull full merchandise racks, assemble displays, and occasionally rearrange the store layout.
- Sort, organize, fold, and hang clothing, including organizing by color and size.
