Part-Time Sales Associate
About The Position
The Part-Time Sales Associate at MONTBLANC’s Madison Ave Flagship is responsible for achieving individual sales objectives and developing and servicing customers. The role includes building clientele, providing outstanding customer service, maintaining strong product knowledge across the collections, and preserving the boutique’s aesthetic quality. The associate may open or close the boutique, handle transfers and communications with the corporate office when management is absent, and ensure loss-prevention procedures are followed. The position also involves basic pen repair and after-sales service techniques.
Requirements
- Previous experience in retail sales.
- Strong understanding of customer-service needs and customer priorities.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with customers and gain their trust and respect.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and computer skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- High school graduation or equivalent.
- Fluent in English and Spanish.
- Able to work open availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Able to stand on the sales floor for 90% of the workday.
- Able to reach for products stored within cabinets or on shelves and bend to access products stored within cabinets.
- Occasional use of a ladder to reach products.
- Able to unpack and/or lift large boxes containing products.
Nice To Haves
- Jewelry or high-end luxury product sales experience is preferred.
- A college degree is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Achieve preset sales objectives.
- Develop a network and clientele.
- Capture client information and consistently add information to promote boutique relationships and sales.
- Maintain strong product knowledge of the various collections.
- Provide outstanding customer service.
- Develop a working knowledge of simple pen repair and after-sales service techniques.
- Maintain the aesthetic quality of the store.
- Open and close the boutique as required.
- Handle communication with the corporate office in the absence of management.
- Ensure loss-prevention procedures are followed according to protocol.
- Handle transfers in the absence of management.
