About The Position
The Sales Associate assists customers throughout the retail store and provides excellent customer service. Duties may include greeting customers, answering product-related questions, cashiering, assembling products, housekeeping, and other tasks assigned by the manager. Applicants must be at least 21 years old to comply with federal regulations concerning firearm sales and must have strong knowledge of firearms and firearm sales. The role has a morning/day weekday schedule, Friday evenings, and every other weekend. The work takes place in a retail store with cold and warm conditions and an irregular work schedule. The position requires frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds, long periods of standing, and frequent bending and twisting. A high school diploma or GED is preferred.
Requirements
- At least 21 years of age to meet federal regulations for firearm sales.
- Strong knowledge of firearms and firearm sales.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds, long periods of standing, and frequent bending and twisting are required.

Responsibilities
- Greet customers and assist with customer service questions.
- Price merchandise and make price changes as requested by store management.
- Stock and face merchandise on shelves as requested by store management.
- Assist with receiving freight and organize incoming products as directed by store management.
- Assist with cycle counts.
- Answer incoming telephone calls and handle them appropriately.
- Process customer transactions using the KCX cash register system.
- Handle cash accurately.
- Handle customer returns.
- Perform housekeeping duties.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
