About The Position

The Part-Time Sales Associate drives sales and customer relationships by providing excellent customer service and using effective selling techniques. The role involves daily store functions, including product merchandising and sales, customer relations, and store maintenance. Customer service, sales, and teamwork are central to the position. The associate supports shipment processing, restocking, pricing, and visual merchandising; follows company policies and visual standards; helps keep the store neat and organized; and assists in preventing theft. The role requires fashion and trend awareness, a positive and energetic approach to customers, and the ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment.

Requirements

• Excellent command of English to communicate effectively with management, customers, and coworkers.
• Basic fashion and style trend knowledge and interest in working with customers in a retail setting.
• Problem-solving, analytical, detail-orientation, flexibility, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to provide customer service, maintain accurate inventory, transport merchandise, and maintain the store.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work extended hours during critical project phases and work flexibly in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Reliable transportation.

Nice To Haves

• Previous retail or customer service work experience is preferred but not necessary.
• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Use fashion and trend knowledge to identify customer needs and sell appropriate merchandise while meeting DTLR standards and building customer relationships.
• Assist with shipments, merchandising, restocking, and pricing.
• Provide each customer with a positive, energetic, and outgoing impression.
• Comply with company policies and participate in service training and product programs.
• Follow visual standards, complete daily restocking, and maintain adequate size runs as directed.
• Assist in preventing employee and customer theft.
• Help maintain a neat and orderly sales environment and keep the store organized as directed by management.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
