About The Position

Mathis Home is hiring a Sales Associate in Fort Smith. The role includes a two-week training period paid at $20 per hour. After training, compensation is $20 per hour or commission, whichever is greater, for the first 90 days; after that, compensation is straight commission with no salary cap. The schedule is flexible. The position involves selling furniture and moving merchandise as part of the sales process, assisting customers, and working with team members in an indoor, climate-controlled environment.

Requirements

Ability to lift merchandise weighing up to 40 pounds to move furniture as part of the selling process.
Ability to walk or stand for long periods.
Ability to listen and respond to customer needs.
Ability to communicate effectively with team members.
Positive attitude when working with internal and external customers.
Knowledge of employment and merchandise-handling procedures.

Sales experience is preferred but not required.
