About The Position

Mathis Home is hiring a Sales Associate in Fort Smith. The role involves selling furniture and moving merchandise as part of the sales process. Pay is $20 per hour during two weeks of training. For the first 90 days after training, compensation is $20 per hour or commission, whichever is greater; after 90 days, compensation is straight commission with no stated cap. The schedule is flexible. The position is in an indoor, climate-controlled environment.

Requirements

Ability to lift merchandise weighing up to 40 pounds to move furniture as part of the selling process.
Ability to walk or stand for long periods.
Ability to listen and respond to customers’ needs.
Ability to communicate effectively with team members.
Positive attitude when working with internal and external customers.
Knowledge of employment and merchandise-handling procedures.
