About The Position

The Part-Time Sales Associate supports store sales and customer relationships by delivering excellent customer service and using effective selling techniques. The role includes daily store functions such as product merchandising and sales, customer relations, and store maintenance. Customer service, sales, and teamwork are central to the position. The associate helps customers find suitable merchandise, assists with shipments and inventory tasks, follows visual merchandising standards, and helps maintain an organized, orderly sales floor. The role also requires compliance with company policies, participation in service training and product programs, and assistance with preventing theft. Reliable transportation is required.

Requirements

Previous retail or customer service experience is preferred but not required.
Must possess basic fashion and style trend knowledge and a desire to work with customers in a retail setting.
Excellent command of English to communicate effectively with management, customers, and other employees.
Problem-solving, analytical, detail-orientation, flexibility, communication, and interpersonal skills to provide customer service and support inventory control, merchandise transport, and store maintenance.
Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
Must be able to work extended hours during critical project phases and work flexibly in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Must have reliable transportation.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Previous work experience in retail or customer service preferred.

Responsibilities

Use fashion and trend knowledge to identify customer needs, recommend appropriate merchandise, and build customer relationships while meeting DTLR standards.
Assist with shipments, merchandising, restocking, and pricing.
Provide customers with a positive, energetic, and outgoing impression and maintain a positive, enthusiastic attitude toward the job and company.
Comply with all company policies.
Participate in service training and product programs.
Follow visual standards, complete daily restocking, and ensure adequate size runs are represented as directed.
Help prevent employee and customer theft.
Maintain a neat and orderly sales environment.
Keep the store organized as directed by store management.
Perform other duties as assigned.
