About The Position
The Part-Time Sales Associate supports selling efforts and customer relationships by providing excellent customer service and using effective sales techniques. The role performs daily store functions, including product merchandising and sales, customer relations, and store maintenance. Key priorities are customer service, sales, and teamwork. The associate also assists with shipments, restocking, pricing, visual standards, inventory presentation, theft prevention, and keeping the store organized and orderly. The position requires working in a fast-paced retail environment, standing for extended periods, and lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling up to 50 pounds. Reliable transportation is required. The stated pay range is $11.00–$12.00 per hour, and the role is eligible for the company 401(k) plan.
Requirements
- Previous retail or customer service work experience is preferred but not required.
- Excellent command of English to communicate effectively with management, customers, and other employees.
- Basic fashion and style trend knowledge and a desire to work with customers in a retail setting.
- Problem-solving and analytical abilities, attention to detail, flexibility, communication skills, and interpersonal skills to support customer service, accurate inventory control, merchandise transport, and store maintenance.
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work extended hours during critical project phases and to work flexibly in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Reliable transportation.

Responsibilities
- Display basic fashion and trend knowledge and recommend appropriate merchandise while maintaining DTLR standards and building customer relationships.
- Assist with shipments, merchandising, restocking, and pricing.
- Provide customers with a positive, energetic, and outgoing impression while maintaining an enthusiastic attitude toward the job and company.
- Comply with company policies.
- Participate in service training and product programs.
- Follow visual standards, complete daily restocking, and ensure adequate size runs are represented according to visual directions.
- Assist in preventing employee and customer theft.
- Help maintain a neat and orderly sales environment.
- Keep the store organized as directed by store management.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
