About The Position

Talbots is hiring a Sales Associate for its Wellesley store. The associate provides exceptional customer service, promotes products, builds customer relationships, and supports store business and operations. The role involves assisting multiple customers, sharing fashion and product knowledge, styling outfits, meeting sales and service metrics, and completing assigned projects. The position is regular, part-time, with open availability of 15 to 20 hours per week, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require.

Requirements

Ability to bend, reach, stretch for products, and lift, carry, and move at least 40 lbs.
Open availability of 15 to 20 hours per week, with flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays based on business needs.

Responsibilities

Provide an exceptional and meaningful customer service experience that promotes products and builds brand relationships.
Assist the management team in building store business.
Use service enhancers, including Concierge, to build strong relationships.
Serve multiple customers at a time and handle simultaneous tasks or projects.
Stay aware of fashion trends and learn about new arrivals, including product fit, color, and fashion.
Use product knowledge and fashion expertise to create outfits and recommend items suited to customers’ needs.
Participate in learning opportunities and accept direction, coaching, and feedback to maximize performance.
Achieve sales and service metrics, including clientelling/outreach, appointment setting, and Talbots Classic Awards.
Complete assigned projects and operational tasks, including filling orders, replenishment, and recovery.
