About The Position

Ensemble Schools is seeking a fun, experienced, and professional guitar instructor to teach part-time for At Your Door Music, serving Wellesley, MA, and nearby communities. Lessons are taught in person in students’ homes in Newton, Wellesley, Weston, and surrounding towns. The instructor teaches guitar to students and should be comfortable working with young musicians; At Your Door Music serves children ages six and up as well as adults, with students at beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels.

Teachers may set their availability within the school’s open hours. Consistency is valued, and preference will be given to candidates with greater availability. Because lessons take place in family residences, reliable transportation is required. Successful candidates will have a strong music background demonstrated by a performance degree or equivalent performing experience, a love of teaching, experience with young musicians, punctuality, and the ability to pass a routine background check. Pay is $36–$40 per hour, commensurate with experience. Employee status is an option. Benefits options and a 401(k) with employer match are available to part- and full-time employees after 30 days of employment. Mileage reimbursement is approximately $8 per pay period.
