About The Position

The Sales Associate is a commission-eligible position responsible for helping customers with their shopping needs and providing an exceptional shopping experience. The associate maintains knowledge of Veronica Beard merchandise and current fashion trends, and conveys the brand’s fashion and style. This role is based at the Madison Ave location. The associate supports sales generation by assisting customers with wardrobe choices, providing merchandise information and fashion tips, meeting selling standards and goals, and developing a client base. The role also includes maintaining sales-floor displays and merchandise, supporting floor-set execution, processing shipments as needed, and helping keep the store and backroom clean. The associate follows company policies and dependability guidelines, attends store meetings, and performs other duties assigned by store management. The role involves a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends, and physical activities such as standing, walking, bending, squatting, twisting, climbing ladders, lifting or carrying items weighing 3–15 pounds, and reaching above or below shoulder level. Associates should be comfortable appearing on camera for social media, in still photos and video. The base hourly range is $17.00–$18.00, with the actual rate depending on factors such as skills, experience, training, degrees, and certifications. Requirements

At least 1 year of retail service and selling experience.
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
High school education or equivalent.
Basic math skills for purchase and payment transactions and bank deposits.
Strong verbal and communication skills.
Strong observation skills, including identifying and assessing customer and employee behavior, reactions, and floor awareness.
Ability to retain and use information such as names, merchandise details, policies, and procedures.
Knowledge of current fashion trends and styles.
Ability to perform the stated physical activities, including standing, walking, bending, squatting, twisting, climbing ladders 6–12 feet, grasping, pushing, lifting or carrying items weighing 3–15 pounds, and reaching above or below shoulder level.

Responsibilities

Assist customers by wardrobing and selling merchandise that meets or exceeds their needs.
Greet customers and provide exceptional service.
Respond to customers’ needs and follow through.

Provide merchandise information and current fashion tips to increase sales and customer satisfaction.
Represent Veronica Beard’s fashion and style.
Use the Client Program and book to develop and build a client base that generates sales consistently.
Maintain displays, replenish merchandise on the sales floor, and assist with floor-set execution.
Return merchandise from fitting rooms to the selling floor.
Help maintain the cleanliness of the store and backroom.
Process merchandise shipments as needed.
Replenish merchandise daily so that it is represented on the sales floor.
Understand and follow company policies and procedures.
Follow company dependability guidelines, including attendance requirements.
Attend store meetings.
Perform other duties assigned by store management.
Maintain friendly, positive, and professional behavior.
Contribute to a work climate based on mutual trust, respect, and teamwork.
Be comfortable appearing on camera for social media, including stills and video.
