About The Position
The Seasonal Part-Time Sales Assistant supports store operations at LoveShackFancy's Madison Avenue location in New York City. This is a non-selling role focused on customer assistance, supporting sales associates, maintaining merchandise and visual standards, and helping with stock and store operations. The role also assists with in-store and off-site events.
Responsibilities
- Greet and acknowledge customers and provide courteous, knowledgeable service.
- Support the sales team with transactions, including pulling, packing, and transferring merchandise; run sizes and returns between the sales floor and stockroom.
- Remove unwanted merchandise from fitting rooms and return merchandise to the sales floor.
- Monitor and maintain daily visual merchandising standards by folding, straightening, filling in, and correctly placing merchandise.
- Ensure merchandise, styles, and sizes are represented on the sales floor.
- Assist with stock duties, including shipments, markdowns, and transfers.
- Follow POS procedures when assisting sales, including capturing client information and checking product availability.
- Keep the wrap desk neat, organized, and stocked with supplies throughout the day.
- Answer phone calls and direct them to the appropriate person.
- Help organize, set up, and break down in-store and off-site events.
- Assist the stock associate with tagging, organizing, and processing incoming shipments.
