About The Position

Ace Retail Group (ARG), a division of Ace Hardware Corporation, owns and operates several Ace brands and operates more than 250 neighborhood stores across the United States. The Sales Associate assists with receiving, stocking, and pricing merchandise while helping maintain clean, orderly merchandise displays and overall store cleanliness. The role provides friendly, customized customer service and supports day-to-day store operations.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Ability to stand, walk, lift up to 25 pounds, and climb.
Ability to demonstrate and incorporate the company's Core Values into daily decisions and interactions.

Responsibilities

Represent Westlake Ace Hardware positively and proactively help customers solve problems.
Greet customers, thank them when their transactions are complete and when they leave, and provide friendly, customized service throughout the store.
Answer pages and calls promptly, courteously, and effectively; refer unresolved customer complaints to management.
Maintain knowledge of products, store layout, and product locations.
Help create a positive, professional, and safe work environment.
Receive, check in, and stock merchandise, and help maintain back-stock levels.
Help maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of the sales floor, stock room, outdoor merchandise area, end caps, and advertising merchandise.
Assist with merchandise resets, price changes, and special orders.
Ensure store signage is current.
Operate a forklift after receiving proper training.
Communicate Store Support Center issues, merchandising or cost-control concerns, and sales ideas to the General Manager.
Participate in store meetings, maintain a professional appearance and conduct, and perform other assigned duties.
Incorporate the company's Core Values into daily decisions and interactions.
