About The Position

Planet 13 is seeking a part-time Sales Associate to join its team in Port Charlotte, Florida. The role focuses on providing excellent customer service through education, awareness, and solutions for clients purchasing medical cannabis products. Training is provided, and prior medical marijuana or dispensary experience is not required. The position includes assisting customers, confirming identification and medical cannabis card status, recommending products in accordance with physician recommendations, using Florida’s Medical Marijuana Use Registry when dispensing products, processing purchases and payments, and maintaining online pickup orders. The role may involve exposure to cannabis, cannabis odors, and cannabis smoke.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
At least 2 years of prior customer-service experience involving direct patient or customer interaction.
Must be 21 years or older.
Ability to pass drug testing and a Level 2 Florida State background check.

Nice To Haves

Customer-service experience in specialty retail, hospitality, or the health and wellness field is preferred.

Responsibilities

Greet, assist, and provide information and necessary services to customers.
Verify customer identification and cannabis card status.
Discuss products and make appropriate recommendations based on the customer’s physician recommendation.
Access and properly use Florida’s Medical Marijuana Use Registry (MMUR) when dispensing products.
Dispense medication and collect payment through the POS register or upon delivery using approved payment methods.
Maintain online pickup orders.
