About The Position

Planet 13 is seeking a full-time Sales Associate (Budtender) to join its team in Bradenton, Florida. The role focuses on providing excellent customer service through education, awareness, and solutions tailored to customers’ needs. No prior medical marijuana or dispensary experience is needed; training will be provided to selected candidates.

The position involves assisting customers, verifying identification and medical cannabis card status, dispensing medication, processing payments, maintaining online pickup orders, and supporting sales and marketing efforts. The Sales Associate also works with the Dispensary Manager to identify, plan, and coordinate dispensary events.

The job may involve exposure to cannabis, cannabis odors, and cannabis smoke. The work environment is occasionally exposed to heat and usually has a moderate noise level. Physical requirements include frequent standing, walking, sitting, reaching, and stooping or similar movement, with occasional lifting or moving of up to 50 pounds. Requirements

• At least 2 years of customer-service-related experience involving direct patient or customer interaction.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 21 years of age.
• Ability to pass drug testing and a Level 2 Florida State background check.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service experience in specialty retail, hospitality, or the health and wellness field is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet, assist, and provide information and necessary services to customers.
• Verify customer identification and cannabis card status.
• Dispense medication and collect payment using a POS register or, upon delivery, approved payment methods such as cash, debit, or credit.
• Maintain all online pickup orders.
• Build and maintain positive customer relationships by accurately assessing needs and providing timely, accurate information.
• Work with the Dispensary Manager to identify opportunities for dispensary events.
• Plan and coordinate events, including internal and external communication, logistics, marketing, and organization of necessary information and materials.
• Support company marketing and sales efforts to help meet sales goals.
