About The Position

The Part-Time Sales Associate supports sales efforts and customer relationships by providing excellent customer service and using effective selling techniques. The role performs daily store functions, including product merchandising and sales, customer relations, and store maintenance. Customer service, sales, and teamwork are central to the position. The associate also supports shipments, restocking, pricing, store organization, and visual standards, and follows company policies and training programs.

Requirements

• Previous retail or customer-service work experience is preferred but not required.
• A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Excellent command of English to communicate effectively with management, customers, and coworkers.
• Basic fashion and style trend knowledge and an interest in working with customers in a retail setting.
• Problem-solving, analytical, detail-orientation, flexibility, communication, and interpersonal skills to support customer service, inventory control, merchandise transport, and store maintenance.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work extended hours during critical project phases and in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with flexibility.
• Reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Use fashion and trend knowledge to recommend appropriate merchandise, meet customer needs, and build customer relationships while maintaining DTLR standards.
• Assist with shipments, merchandising, restocking, and pricing.
• Provide customers with a positive, energetic, and outgoing impression and maintain an enthusiastic attitude toward the job and company.
• Comply with company policies and participate in service training and product programs.
• Follow visual standards, complete daily restocking, and maintain adequate size runs as directed.
• Help prevent employee and customer theft.
• Maintain a neat and orderly sales environment and keep the store organized as directed by management.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
