About The Position
The Part-Time Sales Associate supports selling efforts and customer relationships by providing strong customer service and using effective selling techniques. The role includes daily store functions such as product merchandising and sales, customer relations, and store maintenance. Customer service, sales, and teamwork are central to the position. The associate assists with shipments, merchandising, restocking, and pricing; follows visual standards; helps keep the store organized and orderly; and supports efforts to prevent employee and customer theft. The associate is expected to comply with company policies, participate in service training and product programs, and provide customers with a positive, energetic, and enthusiastic experience. Other duties may be assigned.
Requirements
- Previous retail or customer service work experience is preferred but not required.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Excellent command of English to communicate effectively with management, customers, and other employees.
- Basic fashion and style trend knowledge and a desire to work with customers in a retail setting.
- Problem-solving, analytical, detail-orientation, flexibility, communication, and interpersonal skills to provide customer service and support inventory control, merchandise transport, and store maintenance.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work extended hours during critical project phases and in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with flexibility.
- Reliable transportation.

Responsibilities
- Sell appropriate merchandise by applying basic fashion and trend knowledge, meeting customer needs, and building customer relationships while maintaining DTLR standards.
- Assist with shipments, merchandising, restocking, and pricing.
- Provide each customer with a positive, energetic, outgoing impression and demonstrate an enthusiastic attitude toward the job and company.
- Comply with company policies.
- Participate in service training and product programs.
- Follow visual standards, complete daily restocking, and ensure adequate size runs are represented according to visual directions.
- Assist in preventing employee and customer theft.
- Help maintain a neat and orderly sales environment.
- Assist with keeping the store organized as directed by store management.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
