About The Position

As a part-time Merchandiser, you work independently in assigned retail stores to showcase Hallmark products, maintain inventory, optimize product placement, and build relationships with store teams. You are responsible for the Hallmark product displays at your stores and may occasionally work with other companies’ products. The role involves day-to-day merchandising, seasonal holiday support, department resets and installations, and supporting other merchandisers as needed.

The position averages 5–10 hours per week on a variable schedule during the work week. Availability before and after major holidays, potentially including weekends, is required. Holiday periods may bring additional workdays and extended hours, and work on certain holidays may be required. Resets and remodel assignments may also involve evenings or weekends, with remodel assignments typically communicated two weeks in advance. Pay is $11.00–$13.00 per hour depending on skills and experience. Paid training is provided through live, hands-on instruction and virtual classroom training. Eligible employees receive annual pay increases.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Be able to read, write, and understand English.
• Be able to grasp, pull, lift, and carry products up to 30 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally.
• Be able to operate a digital handheld device to open and read documents and interpret information.
• Have access to a Wi-Fi network and the internet.
• Have consistent transportation to travel to and between assigned stores as scheduled.
• Be available around major holidays, potentially including weekends, and to support season changeovers, extended services, installations, and inventory support.

Responsibilities

• Restock, organize, and monitor Hallmark product inventory in assigned retail stores, including products within and outside the Hallmark department.
• Use a Hallmark-provided mobile device for merchandising work, supervisor communication, time reporting, feedback, and required activity surveys.
• Maintain the entire Hallmark product display at assigned stores and interact professionally and courteously with store employees, management, and customers.
• Provide additional support around seasonal holidays, which may involve extra days, extended hours, and occasional work on the holiday itself.
• Participate in department installations and resets, including building and installing fixtures, relocating card departments and products, and resetting card sections.
• Support other merchandisers in their territories as needed.
• Travel to and between assigned stores as scheduled.
