About The Position
Lott Oil Company is a growing family business seeking a driver in the Lake Charles, Louisiana area, preferably with fuel-hauling experience. The role involves loading and delivering hazardous materials, including fuel and oil products, to convenience stores, industrial customers, and other designated locations. Drivers must follow local and federal regulations while operating a commercial vehicle. Compensation is freight based.
Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL.
- Hazmat and Tanker endorsements.
- At least 25 years of age.
- Two years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Current DOT physical.
- Must pass a DOT drug screen.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds.
- Ability to climb a ladder.
Nice To Haves
- Five years of driving experience, including one year of fuel-hauling experience.
- TWIC Card.
- Terminal certifications.
Responsibilities
- Meet scheduled deliveries.
- Submit all paperwork accurately and on time.
- Assist in maintaining truck and trailer equipment through daily pre- and post-trip inspections.
- Cooperate with truck and trailer maintenance scheduling.
- Keep the assigned truck and trailer clean and presentable to the public.
- Follow all company safety and operating procedures and policies.
- Perform responsibilities and tasks as defined by management.
