About The Position

Service Measure is hiring a Data Collector / Driver in Lake Charles, Louisiana, for a field data collection project. The project involves driving a vehicle equipped with a roof-mounted 360-degree camera and computers that capture and store images of streets, points of interest, and public areas in the United States. The collected data will be used to enhance an online map.

Drivers will follow assigned routes through public streets and areas, with a focus on commercial districts and historical sites. Some locations may need to be revisited because of poor weather conditions to obtain high-quality images. The project is expected to last 3 to 6 months and cover different data collection areas. The expected schedule is Monday through Friday, 8 hours per day and 40 hours per week; weekend work may be possible due to weather-related downtime.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license.
• Good driving skills and a clean driving record.
• Enjoys driving within standard business hours.
• Available for a minimum of 3 months.
• Private monitored parking space for the corporate vehicle.
• Strong communication and reporting skills.
• Comfortable using technology, including Gmail, Google Forms, and Google Meet.
• High level of responsibility; self-motivated and detail-oriented.
• Must successfully pass a criminal and driving-record background check.
