About The Position

Service Measure (SM), a field data collection company founded in 2013, is hiring a Data Collector / Driver for a project in Lake Charles, Louisiana. The project collects images of streets, points of interest, and public areas in the United States to help enhance an online map. Drivers follow assigned routes through public streets and areas, particularly commercial districts and historical sites, using a vehicle equipped with a roof-mounted 360-degree camera and computers that store the captured images. Some areas may need to be revisited because of poor weather conditions. The project is expected to last 3 to 6 months and cover different data collection areas.

The expected schedule is Monday through Friday, 8 hours per day and 40 hours per week. Weekend work is possible due to weather-related downtime. The ideal candidate enjoys driving, knows the local area and traffic trends, and is responsible and reliable. Pay is $15–$18 per hour.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license.
• Good driving skills and a clean driving record.
• Enjoys driving during standard business hours.
• Available for a minimum of 3 months.
• Must have a private monitored parking space for the corporate vehicle.
• Great communication and reporting skills.
• Tech savvy, including the ability to use Gmail, Google Forms, and Google Meet.
• High level of responsibility.
• Self-motivated and detail oriented.
• Must successfully pass a criminal and driving-record background check.

Responsibilities
