About The Position

As a Customer Service Associate in the Paint department, you welcome customers to Lowe's and help them find products and services for their home improvement needs. You provide friendly, professional service, answer questions, help customers locate and select merchandise, and occasionally load merchandise. You will spend much of your time listening to customers, responding to questions, and organizing merchandise, with responsibilities varying by department. In Paint, this may include tinting and mixing paint. The role may also involve working in other store areas to support customer service.

Requirements

• At least 6 months of experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information.
• At least 6 months of experience using common retail technology, such as smartphones and tablets.
• Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic, including addition and subtraction.
• Ability to perform duties that may require prolonged standing, sitting, and other activities necessary for the job.
• Ability to lift at least 25 pounds unassisted, or over 25 pounds with or without an accommodation.

Nice To Haves

• At least 6 months of retail and/or customer service experience.
• Bilingual skills.
• Certification in a trade related to the department, such as hardware, kitchen, plumbing, electrical, lawn and garden, or lumber/building materials.

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers, answer questions, and deliver friendly and professional customer service.
• Assist customers with locating and handling merchandise.
• Down stock merchandise by identifying empty shelf areas and replenishing supplies.
• Process orders and deliveries accurately so customers receive merchandise as expected and on time.
• Cross-functionally train in other store areas to help deliver the best customer service.
• Prepare merchandise based on customer needs, such as tinting and mixing paint.
• Guide customers through shopping or checkout.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
