About The Position

As a Customer Service Associate in the Paint department, you welcome customers to Lowe’s and help them find products and services for their home improvement needs. You provide friendly, professional service, answer questions, help customers locate and select merchandise, and occasionally load merchandise. You also organize and replenish merchandise, process orders and deliveries, and prepare products for customers, including tinting and mixing paint. Responsibilities may vary by department, and associates may cross-train in other store areas. The role may involve working indoors and outdoors in varying weather and climate conditions, exposure to noise and moving equipment, and physical activities including prolonged standing or sitting and lifting.

Requirements

• At least 6 months of experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information.
• At least 6 months of experience using common retail technology, such as smartphones and tablets.
• Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic, including addition and subtraction.
• Ability to perform duties that may require prolonged standing, sitting, and other activities necessary for the job.
• Ability to lift at least 25 pounds unassisted, or lift more than 25 pounds with or without an accommodation.
• Follow lifting guidelines, which limit single lifts to 75 pounds; team lifts are used minimally starting at 75 pounds or when needed.
• Use powered equipment as required, with proper training or assistance from a trained coworker.

Nice To Haves

• At least 6 months of retail and/or customer service experience.
• Bilingual skills.
• Certification in a trade related to the department.

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers, answer questions, and provide friendly, professional customer service.

• Down stock merchandise by identifying empty shelf areas and replenishing supplies.
• Process orders and deliveries accurately so customers receive merchandise as expected and on time.
• Cross-functionally train in other store areas to help provide customer service.
• Prepare merchandise for customer needs, such as tinting and mixing paint.
• Guide customers through shopping or checkout.
• Occasionally load merchandise.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
