About The Position

As a Famous Footwear Sales Associate, you help create a welcoming store environment and deliver a positive shoe-shopping experience that builds customer loyalty. You stay informed about trends, share product knowledge, and help customers find styles and fits that meet their needs.

You contribute to daily retail operations, including pricing, shipment processing, fulfillment, and inventory, and help keep the store clean, organized, and easy to shop. You support sales goals, communicate clearly with teammates, follow company policies, seek feedback, and assist with training and development when needed. You also help foster an inclusive, supportive team culture.

This is a part-time position. Overtime may be required to meet business needs. The role requires a flexible schedule that may include holidays, nights, weekends, and extended hours, as well as frequent movement and lifting in the store environment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to build constructive and effective relationships within the store.
• Ability to communicate positively with store associates at all levels.
• Ability to exercise independent judgment and discretion, partnering with the Store Sales Manager as needed.
• Strong working knowledge of general retail practices and procedures.
• Ability to work effectively within a team.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet business needs, including holidays, nights, weekends, and extended hours.
• Ability to regularly lift up to 40 pounds from floor level to above shoulder height using appropriate equipment and safety techniques.
• Ability to meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
• Ability to remain mobile on the sales floor for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Complete daily store tasks, including pricing, shipment processing, fulfillment, and inventory.
• Keep the store clean, organized, and merchandise easy to shop according to company standards.
• Provide attentive customer engagement and help customers find suitable shoe styles and fits.
• Stay informed about trends and share product knowledge with customers.
• Review store performance and contribute to sales goals.
• Communicate clearly and promptly with the store team and listen actively to teammates.
• Follow company policies and procedures, seek feedback, and pursue professional development.
• Support an inclusive and respectful work environment and assist with teammate training and development when needed.
