Sales Associate (Part-Time) - Plattsburgh, NY
About The Position
The Sales Associate assists customers throughout the retail store, with a primary focus on providing excellent customer service. The role may include greeting customers, cashier responsibilities, answering product-related questions, product assembly, general housekeeping, and other duties assigned by the manager. The position pays $17.00–$18.00 per hour, depending on experience. The Sales Associate reports directly to the Store Manager and has no direct supervisory authority. The role is performed in a retail store environment, including cold and warm conditions and an irregular work schedule. The company will consider reasonable accommodations for individuals with disabilities to enable them to perform job functions successfully.
Requirements
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds.

- Frequent bending and twisting.

Responsibilities
- Greet customers and assist with customer service questions.
- Price merchandise and make price changes as requested by store management.
- Stock and face merchandise on shelves as requested by store management.
- Assist with receiving freight and organize incoming products as directed by store management.
- Assist with cycle counts.
- Answer incoming telephone calls and handle them appropriately.
- Handle customer transactions using the KCX cash register system.
- Handle cash accurately.
- Process customer returns.
- Perform housekeeping duties.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
