About The Position
The Cashier interacts with customers as they enter and leave the retail store, with the primary responsibility of providing excellent customer service. The position has varying hours across days and evenings, including shifts until 9 p.m., and requires rotating weekend and holiday coverage. Applicants must be available to work some evenings and/or weekends. The role includes greeting customers and helping with service questions, answering telephone calls, processing transactions using the KCX cash register system, handling cash accurately, pricing and stocking merchandise as requested by store management, and processing customer returns. The work takes place in a retail store environment with cold and warm conditions and an irregular schedule. The position involves frequent lifting of up to 25 pounds, long periods of standing, and frequent bending and twisting. A high school diploma or GED is preferred.
