Cashier (Part-Time) - Plattsburgh, NY
About The Position
The Cashier interacts with customers as they enter and leave the retail store, with the primary goal of providing excellent customer service. The role has a variable schedule that includes days, evenings until 9 p.m., and rotating weekend and holiday coverage. Applicants must be available to work some evenings and/or weekends. The hourly pay range is $17.00–$18.00, depending on experience. The position is performed in a retail store environment with cold and warm conditions and an irregular work schedule. Requirements
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Frequent lifting of up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to stand for long periods.
- Frequent bending and twisting.

Responsibilities
- Greet customers entering the retail store and assist with customer service questions.
- Answer incoming telephone calls and handle them appropriately.
- Process customer transactions using the KCX cash register system.
- Handle cash accurately.
- Price store merchandise as requested by store management.
- Stock merchandise on shelves as requested by store management.
- Handle customer returns.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
